My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was full of history and convenient for attending a wedding, but the noise from the industrial kitchen fan was quite disruptive. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, making our day special, yet the dining experience left much to be desired with tasteless options. The facilities were lacking, and the ongoing refurbishment impacted relaxation opportunities.

Rooms
6.0
Despite the humming noise from the industrial kitchen fan, the room was decently comfortable. However, the placement near the car park was not ideal.
Service
7.0
The staff was truly supportive and committed to ensuring a perfect stay, which was a highlight. However, the overall hotel management response was not as satisfactory.
Location

The hotel, full of history, was conveniently located for a wedding and reception at the nearby Barn. However, the ongoing refurbishment affected relaxation options and sound insulation.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was lackluster with tasteless options, which was disappointing given the price. The formal restaurant did not provide a relaxing atmosphere after a busy day.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The location was pretty good, with a nice village setting near Marlow, but the room fell short of expectations and didn't match the website images. The service was a hit or miss, with friendly staff at times but also encountering rudeness. The dining options were decent but had some flaws. Overall, an okay stay but with some room for improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was located over the main hotel entrance, which was fine, but it really smelled strongly of bleach. The standard was above average for a pub, but it didn't meet the 'executive double' expectations and was not consistent with the online pictures.
Service
7.0
The service was a mixed bag. Some staff members were friendly and helpful, especially in setting up the venue, while others, particularly encountered during breakfast, were not very helpful and came across as rude and unfriendly.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was good, being near the lovely town of Marlow and Thames walks. It was convenient for a short taxi ride to Marlow, but the aesthetic could do with a slight makeover and the atmosphere felt cold at times.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience varied. The help-yourself buffet had nice options, but there were some inconsistencies, like improperly drained poached eggs. The drinks and food selections were good overall.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel offered basic facilities, there weren't any standout amenities or additional services that really stood out during my stay.

7.4/10

The hotel offers very well-presented and spacious rooms, although the adjacent gentleman's toilet’s extractor noise could be bothersome at times. The service is friendly overall, with a few instances of miscommunication. The location is incredible, being in the beautiful old main building by the river. The dining experience is pleasant, especially when served by the cheerful staff. The hotel lacks areas to sit and relax in the ongoing refurbishment. Great value for money, especially for those needing to stay close to Henley.
